April 2017
This is a couple of emails, post professional development course with Innes Kennard, that the staff went to in the holidays. These emails were thanking me for my efforts in helping the staff set up their ipads for this course and further setting up school access to a shared PD folder provided by Innes. This was a great opportunity for me to both challenge myself and learn but also support my colleagues to learn, too.

May 2017

As an extra responsibility, I coach the Halcombe School B netball team who play every Monday night at Vautier Park in Palmerston North. Whilst this is a huge commitment for 2 whole terms of games and practices, netball is a true passion of mine and being able to mentor and coach young girls in a sport that I love is incredibly rewarding. I feel I push the girls to reach their potential and allow them to explore and express their competitive natures. Seeing them improve every week is fantastic and I really like being able to look back at the end of a season and be very proud of how far the girls have come.
Being on the side line of a sports field (or court) is also a fantastic opportunity to build relationships and rapport with students (not just from my own class) but with parents and families, too.
